How Kindred Ledger Began
Kindred Ledger grew out of a simple observation: most families in Bangkok — whether long-term residents or expatriates — had never sat down together to discuss where their key documents were kept. When an unexpected event arose, the scramble to find the right papers in the right place added enormous stress to an already difficult time.
Our founders — a small group of facilitators and organisers with backgrounds in adult education and family communication — began hosting informal evening workshops in 2021. The response was immediate. People wanted structure, practical tools, and a space to have these conversations without feeling pressured into any particular arrangement.
By 2023 we had formalised the Kindred Ledger approach: a chapter-by-chapter framework inspired by the old-fashioned family almanac, where every important matter has a clear home and a clear label. We are based in Huai Khwang, Bangkok, and we serve families across the city in English.

We believe that clarity is a form of care. When your family knows where to find what they need, the load on everyone is lighter. Our mission is to make that kind of orderly preparedness accessible — without ever stepping into the role of a lawyer, financial planner, or any other regulated professional.

Lead Workshop Facilitator
Margaret has spent twelve years working in adult education and community facilitation across Southeast Asia. She developed the Affairs Almanac framework that underpins all Kindred Ledger sessions.
Priya Chandran
Document Organisation Specialist
With a background in records management and family communication training, Priya leads the Chapter-by-Chapter Inventory sessions and designs the reference binder system used by members.
Thomas Lim
Community & Member Support
Thomas manages the Almanac Membership community, coordinates signposting to qualified professionals, and ensures every member feels supported between workshop sessions.

Our Standards & Practices
The way we run sessions reflects the same orderliness we teach. Every participant deserves consistency, discretion, and clarity.
Education-First Approach
All content is framed as general education. We do not give individual professional advice, and we make that clear in every session from the outset.
Participant Confidentiality
What is shared in a workshop stays within that group. Facilitators do not discuss any individual's situation outside the session context.
Scope Management
Whenever a topic goes beyond organising and facilitation, we pause and refer participants to appropriate qualified professionals and official bodies in Thailand.
Regular Content Review
Workshop materials are reviewed at least twice a year to reflect current best practices in document organisation and family communication facilitation.
Accessible Format
Sessions are structured for participants of all backgrounds — no prior knowledge required. Plain language is used throughout, and printed materials are always provided.
Feedback-Driven Improvement
Every session ends with a short anonymous feedback form. We read every response and use the input to shape future workshops and membership content.
